The desk and return are crafted from durable hardwood solids and cherry veneers matched and finished in a warm transitional cherry. Each of the unit's drawers - four in the desk and one in the return - is constructed with dovetail joinery and mounted on smooth, full-extension ball-bearing guides. The desk's top center drawer boasts a drop-front face that allows you to use it as a laptop, keyboard, or mouse work surface, though you can use the drawer conventionally with the included removable, felt-lined pencil tray. Two electrical outlets are located in the back of the drawer. On the side, two supply storage drawers rest above a bottom file drawer that can accommodate letter- and legal-size files.

The return features one top drop-front drawer for a second laptop or additional work space. The softy rounded end boasts two fixed, rounded shelves where you can tuck more work or add a bit more character with family photographs and plants.
