Very nice piece of furniture and exactly what I wanted for a small apartment. Delivery was a lot faster than expected, assembly was easy (Sauder usuually is) except for the drawers. I added wood glue to this step because of the lack of designed fasteners

I bought this to get my bills & paperwork organized. I was hesitant at first to buy a Sauder product b/c of past experiences with the brand having some flimsy construction. I did my research & found this to be very sturdy. I could not pass it up for the sale price. The assembly was very easy. The illustrations in the instructions were very accurate & helped to identify parts that weren't labeled. The only parts that were a little flimsy were the bottoms of the drawers. These parts could be a little thicker in future models. But as long as you don't put very heavy items in the drawers it should be fine. I am very satisfied with the purchase.

I bought this to store papers and occasionally sit with my laptop -- not a full-time desk. It is in the home office, which is a small room. It fits nicely and looks good. I paid so little for this [...], you would think it is a piece of garbage. But I am thoroughly impressed![...] it is heavy at over one hundred twenty pounds. That is the reason I said it was difficult to move.As far as completely unassembled desks in a box go, this has been the easiest to assemble! The ingenius technologies used to make the assembly go smoothly cut the time from 8 hours (my last computer desk) to 3 1/2 hours. In the 6 or 7 years since my last desk in a box, they have advanced the assembly technology to make it easier.You only need a hammer and a phillips head screwdriver. There's a good bit of hand screwing involved, but most of it is light to medium strength.The drawers and legs are sturdy, the drawers are smooth to open and close, the bottoms of the drawers are not flimsy, the surfaces are nice enough for laminated wood, and the instructions are easy to read and understand.My main complaint is that their patented "Smart Lock" cams used to connect large pieces strip when you turn them by hand with a phillips head screwdriver as instructed. This happened on about half of them. Nonetheless, the stripped screw heads turned far enough to secure the pieces together before they completely stripped. The desk is solid even with this flaw.The other, minor complaint is regarding the handle on the top right drawer. First, you have to attach the handle to a finished drawer front piece using metal threaded screws. This is fine. Then, you have to attach the finished drawer front piece and handle to an unfinished drawer front piece and secure it with wood screws (which you should not ever unscrew). This covers up the screws that secure the drawer handle. I know the handle -- like all drawer handles -- will loosen, and I won't be able to tighten it because it's covered by the finished piece. But it's not a reason not to buy an otherwise excellent value.

Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. However, there are a few things I would like for other purchasers to be aware of. Not all of the parts were labeled, which made it a little difficult to put the desk together. Also, when purchasing the desk online, I was not aware that the back of the desk is not finished. Therefore, the desk could not set out in the middle of a room once constructed. It has to sit with its back against a wall. Probably where I would put it anyways, but I like variety.
