But we also know our exclusive Pearce Work Desk - Oak goes a long way in brightening up those workday mornings, and not just because of it's light, natural finish. Clean lines, an open workspace, and ample storage let you utilize this desk to the fullest, making for super-productive days. With a few personal touches - a colorful lamp, a comfy chair - you may even, dare we say, look forward to getting to business.


Fresh and inviting, this smart-looking desk is constructed with a solid rubberwood frame and MDF tabletop and side and back panels - all covered with solid wood veneers. MDF is a dense, warp-resistant engineered wood chosen for its lasting strength and stability. Cup-style hardware and straight lines make for easy access to the spacious desktop, in addition to a pullout, drop-front keyboard drawer, two smaller supply drawers, and one large file drawer. The bright oak finish lends warmth to the desk's subtly contemporary feel.

      It's not the best or the worst. I think the price is fair since the majority of it is solid wood. I don't know where the "oak" finish is suppose to be, it looks more like pine.

      Service and delivery comments:

      My delivery was free and arrived in only a matter of days. There was a piece that was broken when I unpacked it and Hayneedle's customer service was fabulous dealing with the dilemma.

          Prompt service. Good price. Product looked the same as advertised. However, assembly required drill (to make new holes for screws due to alignment problems), plane (to shave off pieces of drawers that stuck). Top was damaged in shipment (not enough to warrant return). Fits the space and looks good.

              Our Pearce work desk was delivered yesterday - and it was a disappointment on a number of levels.[...] the assembly instructions were impossible as written, so we had to figure out a more logical order in which to assemble the pieces. It's not easy to get the pieces to line up flush.Lastly, I couldn't tell from the pictures on this website, but the side panels of the desk are a cheap-looking board, not the wood that is found elsewhere on the desk. The desk looks pretty good face-on, but not from the side.I was planning on getting another one of these if I liked this one, and now I'm hesitating, largely because of fear that it will arrive even more damaged that this one and partly because I'm not excited to put another one together.On the plus side, the pieces of the desk that ARE wood are good-looking.
